The Happiest little Camper!

Hello everyone!!
Hannah's first time camping and going to a beach is over. Her diaper bag still smells of pit fire and sun screen but our clothes have long lost this odor due to laundry day.
Thankfully camping with a 10 month old wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. She slept okay as long as she was sleeping with us. It was too cold for her to sleep in the pack and play even with a winter sleeper (size 18 months by the way!WOW) and a hat she was still freezing.

Well I will start from the beginning of Hannah's adventure!!
Day one:
We left for G-ma and G-pa's after Daddy got home from work and drove with the yappy dog over to their house so that they could pet sit for us (THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!!). Then after visiting for about 30 minutes we were on our way.
After a LONG 2 1/2 hour drive we arrived! The lake was BEAUTIFUL! We first parked next to a light house (wish I would have gotten a picture :( oh well), anyway, there were some sort of water bird, a seagulls or something, flying around and Hannah was enthralled!
Then we headed over to the campground, got our site set up and headed over to the restaurant to eat dinner since it was too late to cook (it was about 8 when we got there and 9 when we ate). After dinner we headed back, put the baby to sleep and headed off to bed ourselves. About 12 Hannah came to bed with us. She woke up once to eat a warm bottle and get her wet diaper changed and fell back to sleep and woke up at 8 am! We were very happy she slept so well.
Day two:
Well we woke up around 8 am and my Step Dad had cooked pancakes and bacon for breakfast! YUMMMMMMM! Hannah LOVES pancakes by the way! LOL.
Then we sat around figuring out what to do. Daddy took Hannah for a walk around 11am and she fell asleep and napped for about 2 hours. Then we ate lunch, spaghetti and meatballs, Hannah liked that too!
Then my sister and her family came over from their lake house and we went to the beach (picture included!) Her little guy (about 7 months older than Hannah) was so cute! He was splashing and eating sand, and holding Hannah's hand, I got a picture of it, you can see it if you are on my myspace page! Hannah LOVED the water! She was splashing and picking up sand and letting it fall through her hands! She got some in her mouth and didn't really like it so didn't do it again. She just loved watching her cousins play. She would giggle and squeal when the waves would hit her in the stomach! I loved watching her discover things there, she picked up sticks and leaves and sand and would examine it closely trying to figure out what it is, and after telling her what it was she would be content with that and go to on to discover another oddity.
After the beach ( I NOW HATE SAND BY THE WAY) we showered thoroughly and headed back to relax at the camp site. We put her in the super yard with some toys and read our books, she was fine with that and so were we. We were so proud that she played so well by herself. Her cousins came back over later and played with her as well. Later we ate dinner, bean/ham/potato stew stuff, I don't know the exact name but, OH MY GOSH! It was Delicious, even Hannah loved it! After dinner we took a walk down to another dock and let her swing in the baby swings. (Picture included!). Then we put her to bed around 8pm and stayed up to watch the fire while everyone went fishing (not our thing). We watched the little ones, who were fast asleep in their beds, until my step dad and brother got back then we hit the air mattress, taking Hannah to bed with us. She woke up once and then woke up at 8am.
Day three:
I took a picture of what I woke up to (the very first picture above) it made me smile so I had to take a picture.
After breakfast we packed up and headed to pick up that yappy dog, Denna.
We stayed for a while, ate our lunch, and let Hannah and G-pa play for a while (picture included below!).
We headed home, unpacked, and washed the camping smell out of our belongings.
We plan on doing another camping trip next year to visit Michael's Grandfather at another lake, about 4 hours away. Until then I keep catching whiffs of campfire and sunscreen and I get flash backs of sun and sand and I smile.
The smell will fade soon, and all I will have is memories and pictures of Hannah's very first camping trip, and her first time at a beach!
Thanks for reading!
